I was able to get a custom sandwich plus soup for a reasonable price and enjoyed them at one of the small tables near the entry. The staff were patient and helpful. A hidden gem for conference-goers looking for a bit of quiet and a simple meal!
Good selection of items one may need when staying in a nearby hotel. Bakery items in small bags were nice for snacking. Only negative to my visit was the ladies behind the deli/bakery area were not very friendly/eager to help me when I asked a question. That's not the way to treat visitors to your city/state.
Best way to be thrifty. Ready made soup, salads, and dinners to go. Deli for sandwiches or cold cuts to go. Great stop for all groceries, water, wine, beer, and snacks to avoid hotel upcharge. Prices are super reasonable. Chicken tortilla soup was really good (all three of us agreed). Tables for eating while there are clutch. Everything was very clean and all counter help was nice. Tom was very welcoming and entertaining. Highly recommend this place and will be back during our trip.
What a godsend this place is. Really can’t stress this enough. If you’re “stuck” in downtown (new east side at least), and not on somebody else’s nickel, this place will be your salvation. Good (inexpensive) food, a great little beer and wine section, morning coffee, friendly people. I was there so often, my wife’s gonna think I was dating a cashier.
Really convenient location for a store where I can run in a grab a water and a snack from my hotel at the Fairmont. Love the fact they stay open pretty late. Wish the customer service was better. Our cashier didn’t really spoke a word to us and gave the impression they didn’t want to be there during their shift. Other than that, we were in and out.
