El Metate - Signal Mountain

Been to Mexican restaurants all over the United States and Mexico. This was one of the best we’ve been to. Very unexpected in the middle of Tennessee! Margaritas were awesome to!

Great service... The room just wasn't built for a bunch of voices talking. It's very loud. The food was okay.. not extremely high quality. The salsa was pretty good .. rice bland.. steak was ok. Bacon nastyyyyy.. decent queso.. and alright chips. Prices decent.

I don’t have a photo of this because we stopped in for a late lunch after a hike.Food came out fast, was incredibly fresh, and a hidden gem on Signal Mountain.Would like to come back sometime for dinner and try out the rest, but the food was incredible, the staff was incredible, and to be honest didn’t expect to find this high quality Mexican food on signal.Five stars all day. Will post pics next time.

Great place! Wonderful service! Did and drinks are spectacular. Definitely more of a family atmosphere. Lively and full of energy!

The food is always good, the staff is friendly and caring, the inside is always clean and the decore is fun and colorful. Im pretty lucky to have this be my neighborhood restaurant.
