Serafina - Simcoe

On my first visit to this restaurant, the staff was very friendly. I tried the spicy curry sweet potato soup, which was absolutely delicious, and also enjoyed a tasty veggie wrap. My friend, who is gluten-free, was pleased to find options available for them and really enjoyed the soup and panini.

I tried the spicy chicken quesadilla and it was absolutely delicious! The staff was extremely friendly and happy to explain the menu and offer recommendations. I will definitely return for a healthy and tasty lunch or for takeout.

Sarafina is a great place for lunch. My favorite is the veggie wrap but anything you order is just yummy. The food is freshly made, sandwiches, salads and also desserts. They also have coffees and an assortment of teas. I would definitely recommend. They have also just opened an outdoor sidewalk area.

We had the Chicken pesto panini and salads and food quality was overall very good, the lentil and walnut salad was a little bland for my tasting but my wife enjoyed it. I was hoping for a nice home cooked bowl of soup but all they had to offer was the cold gazpacho soup for the day, not something I would enjoy.

We ate lunch at Serafina with a friend who works downtown. The location was convenient, the ambiance was nice, with great music. The service was friendly, and although we weren't able to get a refill on our water because they were very busy, we did appreciate that they brought our lunch to the table. The chicken brie sandwich and pesto pasta salad were absolutely delicious. Good, fresh flavour. Would definitely eat there again. I found the small salad to be quite expensive, it would have been nice to be able to get it a little cheaper with the purchase of the sandwich, but that was the only negative comment that I have to say. I also realize that food is not getting any less expensive so I'm sure they are probably charging what they need to to be a successful business.
