However, I felt that the nuts weren't necessary, as they had softened too much. **Curry Fish:** This dish reminded me a lot of Indian curry, and the fish was well-cooked and enjoyable. **Fried Chicken:** The chicken lacked seasoning, but it was tender and crispy. The dipping sauce was fantastic, and I particularly loved the spicy sauce! **Cauliflower:** I would say this was one of the standout dishes of the night. I loved the spices and the crunch you get with every bite. **Croquettes:** These were packed with flavor, but I didn't feel they were worth the price. Overall, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. I'm looking forward to returning to try more dishes!
A friend suggested I check out this café that serves African-inspired cuisine, and it certainly lived up to the recommendation. I tried the pulled pork burger, which had a fantastic balance of unique spices that really pleased my palate, along with some delicious mini potato nuggets. The meal paired perfectly with a cup of filtered coffee. For dessert, I indulged in a delightful raspberry soft-serve topped with rich dark chocolate fudge. The café's interior has a distinctive charm that creates a cozy atmosphere. I highly recommend it for large groups looking to have a great gathering.
The buttermilk fried chicken was one of the best I've ever had! It comes with three hot sauces of varying heat levels, and I especially loved the spiciest one. The ricotta hotcakes were a visual delight—absolutely fluffy and delicious pancakes. The Cacao Kali drink was amazing! It featured dark chocolate infused with spices, topped with cinnamon whipped cream and a sprinkle of salt, all perfectly balanced. The service was outstanding; the staff were incredibly attentive. Plus, the decor is spot on!
South African food in Singapore, but honestly we can’t tell if it’s authentic since we haven’t tried it before. Ambience, service and food presentation are great, but it comes at a steep price. Perhaps worth a visit to just get a taste of a new cuisine. Most food items are spicy, but you can request for spiciness to be removed put aside.
Had the goat curry and chicken curry, the portions were much bigger than they looked! Chicken curry was tastier. Goat curry was tender but the taste was ok only. Their rice was a bit dry. Their drinks are very nice and also very filling. I would come back to try their brunch menu next time.
