Contribuisci feedbackMr Biryani @Norris road The service of Malaccan born Shila is very good, attentive, friendly and charming (She is pretty too! . The Hyderabad Chicken Dum Biryani is superb (meat portion too snall, rice too much but you can order some side dish to compensate , the masala tea is out of the world and that white color dessert is heavenly....I dabao for my wife after my meal. By the way, my badminton kaki CS Tan recommended me this place. Thanks Bro!
The ambience is chill and relaxed, the food is cooked to perfection. They have a very specialized menu, and thus the quality of the food is amazing. The manager there is a very friendly guy too, and the biryani and chicken dish I had was absolutely tender, and very well balanced! You can taste the various spices in every mouthful, and it does not leave you thirsty at the end of a meal, unlike most places where you feel that the meal was stuffed with MSG or too much salt. This was perfect. It was so good, I decided to buy back dinner from here as well I don't do this at all, but guess it's a first time for everything. This place, like it's namesake, sets the standard as to how biryani should be made and served. Be aware that one plate is good for two! Very friendly staff and reasonably priced as well. I will definitely be coming back for more. Thank you for the service and the quality food!
We started with crispy keropok, which was delightful, especially when paired with Bhindi Palli Fry and Gobi Manchurian—fried okra bits in sambal. For our main courses, we ordered the Hyderabad Chicken Dhum Biryani and the Vegetarian Brinjal Dhum Biryani. Both dishes were nicely spiced, fluffy, and full of flavor. The brinjal had blended into the rice to the point that we mostly saw just the stems, while the chicken was tender and flavorful. We also enjoyed the Andhra Mutton Fry, which was tasty, although I prefer the Mutton Mysore from our usual favorite, Samy’s. To drink, we tried the sweet and salty fresh lime soda; it was refreshing, though a bit pricey at $9.80 before tax for two glasses. The service was good—friendly and prompt. The restaurant is small, with limited tables, but the staff mentioned they opened a second location nearby on Chander Road. There are two tables along the corridor, but they lack fans, and there's a constant mix of music and cigarette smoke from the bistro next door.
The restaurant is on the pricier side, but thankfully, the food was good and the delivery wait time was reasonable. The portion of rice was huge, which is great for sharing; however, it seemed like they simply added plain rice on top of the biryani. The fried cauliflower and butter chicken were both delicious, but the serving sizes were relatively small given the prices. Despite that, I would definitely visit them again.
Great value, especially for the biryani! We ordered the chicken biryani and Goan fish curry to share. The portion of the chicken biryani was enormous; you could easily share two plates among three people. The spices in the biryani were very flavorful, and the taste was fantastic. The chicken pieces were tender and delicious. The Goan fish curry was tasty, but I wish the fish had been fresher; the texture wasn't as good as I hoped. Overall, I found the restaurant a bit cramped for enjoying the ambience. However, the staff were friendly and even helped us pack our leftovers. I would definitely recommend trying the food here!
