Vinayak Family Restaurant - Siolim

Honestly, I was disappointed with this restaurant, perhaps due to the rave reviews I had heard before visiting. They serve Goan/Indian cuisine. If you prefer variety, I recommend ordering the thali as the other dishes are larger portions of what is served in the thali. The calamari resembled more of pakoras than traditional calamari. The prawn curry was small and the gravy was quite watery. The waiter was not very accommodating and the desserts were mediocre.

They were twice on weekday and once on Sunday in this restaurant. Happy to get on Sunday at 12.45 clock, out there even until 15 uhr lineups were. Eating was delicious, we even tried to eat a Chinese and tried. it was good. fish was very fresh and our server was excellent inspite to be so busy. reasonable prices and portions will definitely be revisited.

The prawn thali only had a few small pieces of shrimp and the seafood was not fresh. We had to wait for a long time for our meal and the service was slow due to the lack of staff. Overall, it was not worth the wait.

Vinayak Family Restaurant is nice family owned & managed Restaurant located in a place called Assagaon, which is not too far from Vagator and Anjuna. Not being on any main road, it is a bit difficult to find on your own, so you need to use Google Maps to take you there. There is some Parking available outside the Restaurant, which is good. Once inside, you will find decent seating in the front portion, as well as nice open air seating at the back as well. They also have clean Toilets & Wash Basins, which is good. A Husband & Wife Couple own & efficiently manage this Restaurant. The Food is freshly prepared & tasty, the Fish is very Fresh, the Service is Good & the rates are Very Reasonable too. All this makes it a very good place to visit for savoring tasty local Goan food. They serve a very nice Fish Thali for just Rs 100, which is Great Value indeed. A must visit place whenever you are in the area, particularly if you have not been here before.

Taste of the dishes was very good. Chapatis made from whole wheat atta are available .kaju curry was best in taste. Price little bit on higher side and quantity of food items was moderate. But worth it.
