Jakes Old Inn - Snohomish

I had a terrible experience with the service at this restaurant. When I inquired if the kitchen was still open, the response was, "We don't serve food, but we have pizza by the slice, although it's not very good." I then asked for a glass of wine, and was told, "All our wines are cheap and not good." After sitting at the bar for 20 minutes with an empty glass in front of me, I eventually had to ask for my debit card back just to leave. Ironically, the pizza and wine turned out to be decent.

Air conditioning on a unseasonably hot day (or maybe this is the new norm? , cold beer, internet jukebox, friendly bartender, dog friendly, comfy chairs and stools and free popcorn and peanuts. What more do you want from an old Tavern in a small town?!?

For entertainment, the Old Inn features several mounted TVs, pull tabs, pool tables, and darts. It’s a dog-friendly place, and dogs can roam off-leash within the premises. During our visit, we enjoyed a couple of pints of Bodhi and Manny's beers and ordered a 10-inch Mikey pizza from [hidden link] for $16.99. The staff was friendly and efficient. Overall, the Old Inn is a solid choice to stop by for an ice-cold beer without expecting anything too fancy.

What really made this place stand out for me was its dog-friendly atmosphere. You can pretty much have your dog off-leash inside the bar (if you’re comfortable with that). There’s even a doggy gate to prevent any escape attempts at the front, along with a fully fenced cocktail and dog garden in the back. An added bonus is the free popcorn and the fact that we were allowed to bring our own food since the bar doesn’t serve any. It did get a bit busier as the night went on, so I recommend getting there early if you want to secure good seating.

Fun, friendly tavern with dogs! As good as it gets with a Seahawks game on, Irish Death on tap poured into a frosty glass, and lots of laid back folk chillin. The pubs' patrons bring in potluck fare and there's popcorn and doggie biscuits. Indoors its warm and cozy. Out back there's a fire pit and smoking area. Love, love, love this bar!!
