The Chef Behind The Curtain - Snohomish

Fine dining that doesn't break the bank. Several of our friends recommended The Chef Behind the Curtain and we were finally able to secure a reservation (pre booking is a must). The restaurant has a pop up vibe with seating for about 15 diners total. The space is casual and intimate. The servers are knowledgeable and friendly. The food is spectacular. I appreciate that the menu is seasonal and local. The chef has managed to create an experience that is somehow both elegant and accessible. I appreciated how our dishes were simple, yet elevated. Dining here is a unique experience-the dining room isn't fancy, the plating is simple, and many of the ingredients are humble but it all adds up to an incredible experience that feels both comfortable and special. It is also a nice surprise to not have to pay a mortgage payment to have a high quality dining experience.

We had a blast! Went with 2 other couples and it was such a fun and exciting experience. The food and wine were absolutely delicious! Super excited to do it again! Great job Joel and Bex! You two are wonderful!

I had heard wonderful things about The Chef behind the curtain and he did not disapoint. The meals were delicious and beautifully prepared and presented. The service was good too.

Rustic, charming, great food, friendly staff. Very cozy. We have been here twice and looking forward to more. We love that they do not dicriminate (poked or unpoked). Highly recommend this place.

What a fun dining experience! If you're open to pre-fixe menus then definitely give this place a try. We loved how small and intimate the space was, they could definitely use a decor make over but what they lack in decor the chef makes up for in quality tasting food. The wine pairing was lovely and the service was outstanding. We will definitely save this place to take out of town guests for a nice cozy meal in Snohomish.
