Parioli Italian Bistro - Solana Beach

Can I give this place more than 5 stars? I know I'm not usually very critical of places. But, Parioli is on another level for their food. My wife lived in Italy for 18 months and we've both visited. This took her right back and was the real thing. Probably the best lasagna I've ever eaten, and it wasn't even what I ordered. Get something with red sauce!

Such a cute place. Small little restaurant, but worth the stop. We didn?t have a reservation, but got right in. Staff was great and the food was yummy. Would come here again!

I choose 3 star, I believe it has potential to recover from the pandemic. First impression the interior is not warm and cozy like the previous posts. There are no tables and is an empty shell. Greeted by a man dressed in street clothes and poor hygiene. Choose to sit outside and the floor was littered with cigarettes. We should have left at this point but I was still optimistic and hungry. Burrta was delicious and full of flavor. I would have liked to have bread served with it. Bruschetta was full of flavor, but the tomatoes weren't quite ripe. Entree's were the lasagna and bolegense. Lasagna come out piping hot and the bolegense was room temp. The waiter never returned to checked on us so I could send it back. After brining the check he mentioned he was overwhelmed with being the only waiter and bartender. I hope they can come back to be the place they once were.

I waited for 40 minutes for tasteless pasta sauce, over cooked noodles, and a sharp Italian sausage that tasted like a basic hot dog. I wanted to get a glass of wine, but the waitress did not return to my table except to fall the food. I don't understand where the pictures of the food came from in positive reviews, because the plates in them are completely different from my experience. I would avoid this restaurant at all costs.

The place is beautiful, we fall for beauty, but we regret it so much and back the main dish! First, the appetizers are so small and not delicious. We hope that the main dish will compensate, but we disappoint that all dishes above all the main dish is not together with Italy! Not delicious and have no Italian mood unless the Italian waitress. When we sent the main court back, the waitress was so upset. And do you kick us out of the place!!!?
