The Chalet - Somerset

We were only once in this restaurant and loved it! So, for my birthday party, I asked to return to him. once again it was a great experience. the atmosphere of the restaurant is so relaxing and beautiful, eating is fabulous and the service is extremely good.

We sat immediately and enjoyed great service, eating and atmosphere.

Our dining experience met or exceeded our expectations on an exceptionally busy New Year’s Eve. Wait staff were stretched and the salad was served before the appetizers. Otherwise, outstanding experience! We are already planning for our next trip to to The Chalet!

Atmosphere was great. Really nicely renovated and decorated log cabin style building. Great outdoor seating in the warmer weather. Food was delicious. Service was great.

We enjoyed the food- started as we were all served a small slice of foccacia bread with a olive oil/parmesan dish.. Could have definitely come around with another slice- they were small -a bread basket would have been welcomed. We ordered appetizers.. the croquettes, oysters rockefeller and beef carpaccio. The oysters were very small and saturated in a creamed spinach- was not what I expected and wouldn't order again. The other two appetizers were good- the beef carpaccio was more of an arugala salad with beef carpaccio for flavor. I ordered the Chalet salad which was good, and the Shrimp dish which was really rich. My husband and son ordered the filet which was really good. Waitress was nice but so overextended- there were two waitresses with a full dining area and would have expected more service with this type of establishment. Also there is a big fireplace in the chalet- and no fire, which would have contributed so much to the atmosphere.
