Bistro Elba - SORRENTO

Unfortunately we were very underwhelmed with our visit to Bistro Elba on Sat evening 19/8. We were a group of 4 ladies away for a weekend in Sorrento after a beautiful meal out on the Sat night. Mostly the meals were ok? After reading the reviews, we were expecting a lot more especially for the price. The prawn entree was tasteless the prawns were chalky? The cheese soufflé was ok? Our cocktails were not great, which was disappointing. The service was ok, our waitress was friendly. We had a staff “service” station placed on a bench behind our table 1 of my guests was being continually jostled bumped by the staff coming in out for cutlery glasses?? She was being apologised to every time but seriously? It was a bit of a joke. We ended up moving our table chairs over towards the wall more to stop it. Steaks were good…. But I’ve had much better. I’m not sure I would recommend after our experience, especially when you’re paying

Cafe Elba is a favourite and we enjoy returning for many family events. The service is always spot on and the food delicious. We will be back again very soon.

Had a great meal. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Will be returning.

Great food, lovely wine and stunning ambience. The noise level did increase when the Matilda’s won the quarter finals!! Overall great experience
