We went to the Lights of India this past Saturday night for the very first time. Our family was very pleased with the excellent authentic food, great service, and the extremely friendly staff. We tried shared a variety of items on the menu, and everything was very tasty (my kids are very picky eaters, and they both loved the food). We're definitely going back to try their buffet. We highly recommend Lights of India.
Great vegan optionsto try. The food hit the stop multiple days while on my trip for work. The service is very attentive and friendly. Try the mango juice with your meal, it is simple and very refreshing just as the menu description lists. If you enjoy Indian cuisine, Lights of Indian in Downtown South Bend is a great restaurant to try a couple times.
We were there for a buffet lunch so no comments on portions etc. its the usual buffet seen in many of the midwestern India restaurants. many similar things are served. the quality of good and nothing exceptional though! so only 4 stars. the staff was very welcoming and very helpful in understanding our needs. would definitely visit again and also recommend to anyone who want to try Indian cuisine in the area.
Went here for the lunch buffet, which was very good. I wished there were other lunch options, because the buffet was a lot more than I could eat just for lunch, and I ended up eating way too much that 's a good 'problem ' to have, though. I loved the options they set out, which included dessert and appetizers as well. Lots of chutneys/sauces to try with your main dishes, or whatever you like them with.
