Bay Tree - South Derbyshire

We had a wonderful meal as usual. Despite the restaurant not appearing busy, the kitchen seemed to be quite busy. We had a reservation for 8:45 and it took over an hour to receive our starter, but overall, the staff did their best to keep us informed. This is the worst Sunday roast I have ever had in a restaurant.

I recently celebrated my sister-in-law's 60th birthday at this restaurant and it was a fantastic experience. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this place, especially for special occasions. Overall, I would give it a rating of 5 for both the food and service, as well as the atmosphere. It was a perfect lunch outing.

After detouring off the M42 in search of a late lunch, we ended up at The Bay Tree when the farm shop we were originally headed to wasn't serving lunch. We enjoyed three delicious small plates at this restaurant. The service was top-notch and the food was expertly prepared. It was a fantastic dining experience. The meal was categorized as lunch and cost between £30-40 per person. The food was rated 4 out of 5, service was rated 5 out of 5, and the atmosphere was rated 4 out of 5. We highly recommend trying the Lobster Bisque at this restaurant.
