I was deeply disappointed with my recent visit to this pub. Although I don't go every week, I have been a regular customer and have always enjoyed the great food and friendly staff. However, this time the experience was far below the usual standard. The all day breakfast I ordered was disappointing, with dry sausages and poorly toasted toast. My wife's Chicken New Yorker was also unappetizing, with overcooked fries and dry chicken. The staff seemed inexperienced and the overall dining experience was poor. I hope that the management takes our feedback seriously and makes necessary improvements. This is constructive criticism, but the recent visit fell short of our usual expectations.

I ordered a beef roast (£11.49) and a pint of St. Austell Tribute Ale (£4.30) at this restaurant. The service at the bar was friendly and my meal arrived promptly. The plate was pre-warmed and the portions were generous. The dish included carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, French beans, and peas, along with four roast potatoes, a Yorkshire pudding, a ball of stuffing, and plenty of gravy. I found the beef to be a bit tough with some gristle in one slice. There were also options for gammon, beef, and chicken, as well as two vegetarian/vegan dishes on offer. Overall, the meal was satisfactory aside from the tough beef, which is a crucial aspect of a roast dinner in my opinion.

The service at this restaurant was fast and welcoming. We were able to walk in without a reservation and enjoy a delicious Sunday lunch roast. The portions were generous and the food was tasty overall. We decided to add some cauliflower cheese to our meal, which we highly recommend for fans of the dish. We were so full from our meal that we didn't have room to try any desserts, but we noted that there are specials available. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Came here with my family today, absolutely loved the food, compliments to the chef. Clean place, covid safe, polite staff. Definitely will be returning.
