On the positive side, it was tender. The poke was acceptable but felt overpriced. The most disappointing item was the macaroni salad, which was bland and dry. I prefer Mo Bettah's offerings more.
I had a pleasant lunch during my first visit. We sampled the kale pork with kohl, teriyaki BBQ chicken, and katsu chicken, all of which were delicious and very satisfying. The service was good, and the dishes were prepared quickly. They also have special daily offerings. However, there are no seats available outside.
I ordered the spicy poke bowl and found it to be fresh and delicious. The musubi met my expectations, and everything was tasty enough that I'd happily order it again. While I felt that the $20 price tag was a bit on the higher side, it's understandable given that it's sushi-grade ahi. I would have preferred the green onion to be cut a bit smaller, and a little more would have been great. Although I probably wouldn't make a special trip just for this, I would definitely stop by again when I'm in the area.
I'm sorry, but mo's better. I picked up from here today because we were parked down in the washington heights church to watch the air show. I ordered two mixed teller (2 choice meat each). one of them, I asked for calbi beef short ripening and kalua swath. I was given only one of them, and I'm not even sure what it was. it was a definitiv not a gay. it could have been the ribs, but if it was, it was really cut thin. it tasted good and was tender, I'm just not sure what it was. it also had bands of fat go on both sides each piece of meat. not enough to make it insensitive, but still hard to eat without knives and I ended up eating only with my hands. the Mac salad was dry and bland. the rice was dry and I was not offered an extra sauce (I did not ask). I want to like this place because he has dinge mo’s has not like poke, loco moco and ananas boats with li hing mui. but every time I have eaten from here, I always feel like I should have gone too mo’s.
The casher was nice! However.. quality of the food is not great. Chicken's not bbq-ed.. it tastes like the chicken was boiled and just soaked in teriyaki sauce. Won't come back
