Busy Bees - South Somerset

Tried for the first time on Monday. Most of the food was bland and uninspiring. The squid was so tough as to be inedible. Crispy chicken balls also very chewy with doughy batter. The best bits were the sweet and sour sauce and the free prawn crackers.

After enjoying Busy Bees takeaway many times before, I was disappointed by the meal we received today. Most of the food lacked flavor and needed more seasoning. The spring rolls were tasteless except for the oil from the deep fryer, filled with a bland white mixture and no vegetables. The fried rice was greasy but tasty. The red curry was a huge disappointment, such a simple dish executed poorly. It seemed like it had been microwaved because the texture of the chicken ranged from tender to rubbery. Something has changed at Busy Bees, and it's not for the better.

We used to use this Chinese all the time and it was nice, now its gone down hill quite badly over the lsat 6 months. We have not been there for a few months so though we would like a take away so I bought two vegetarian dishes, plain rice and some chips. The curry and Hong Kong style dishes looked and tasted of dish water, there was no flavour and it was watered down. The plain rice was cold and a mush and even the chips were reheated. We had four mouthfuls and it all went in the bin.

We always use Busy Bees for our chinese delivery. They are slightly more expensive than a lot of takeaways but you get what you pay for. They always arrive quicker than they state on their website the food is always piping hot, delicious moreish. I would highly recommend them.

I was introduced to this Chinese takeaway by some friends of mine. I have to say it's one of the best I have ever had. The menu is easy to understand and their fish and chips are good also. My family said it's the best they have also had and their portions are very generous. Some of my favourite dishes are chicken curry , chilli beef and their sweet and sour dishes. I highly recommend this place and every time the food has been excellent.
