Caffe Nero Southend-on-sea

Slow due to queue as only 2 serving otherwise relaxed atmoshere

Go into Nero every Sunday morning. Unfortunately, today a member of staff who served me was very ignorant couldnt be bothered to say please or thank you, everything just seemed to much trouble. Dont think she should be working in hospitality.

Excellent coffee and cakes and great value in comparison to the more well known coffee shops. Our choice above the rest

Popped in for a quick relaxing drink, always a great cup of coffee

I've been visiting this Neros multiple times a week for the past four years since I moved to Southend. It's a lovely place to come for lunch to escape the home office for a break. They play soft background music sometimes but it all adds to the pleasant ambiance. If you've been to one Nero then you feel like you've been to them all, but I find this is my favourite just because of how friendly the staff are. Always willing to have a chat and remember your order very quickly if you go in more than once. Other than that it's pretty par for course for a coffee shop. There's plenty of options around but I'll always use it as my go-to cafe in Southend.
