Magic Wok - Southend-on-Sea

I’d love to review the food, however, after being told delivery in an hour, I had to chase it up 1hr 45mins later only to be told at least another 30 mins. Great, too late for my kids to eat before bed and now scrambling to feed them something else. Their response, “there’s nothing we can do about it” and a refund will have to wait until tomorrow. My advice, go elsewhere to avoid being let down

The food at this restaurant is consistently delicious, and I usually choose to pick it up since it's nearby. The staff always tells me my order will be ready in 10 minutes, but when I arrive, the food hasn't been prepared yet. It seems like the owner waits until you arrive before starting to cook, which can be very frustrating. This happens every time, so it doesn't seem like just a one-time mistake.

I am appalled. Waited 2 and a half hours for delivery only to receive the wrong order! When I complained to the staff and management, they were incredibly rude. I have been a loyal customer for 30 years, but now I am no longer a customer.

I’ve been ordering at the magic wok for well over 25 years but tonight I order at 18.23 normally our food will arrive within an hour. But tonight we hadn’t received our food after waiting1 hour and 35 min When I rang In they said it would be 45 min to an hour I guess they had forgotten our order. We cancelled our order so maybe a time for change

This is our go to Chinese takeaway and the woman on the phone is always so lovely and helpful. Their menu range for vegans and vegetarians is by far the best and they’re always so helpful when explaining what’s vegan and what isn’t. Will always recommend highly !!
