Man Fung - Southend-on-Sea

It's gone way down hill to what it used to be. Used to be the best Chinese takeaway in Southend. Now every aspect of this place is worse than its former self. Ordered food for collection they said it would be 40 minutes, got there and waited an extra 50 minutes for the food. No longer take card payment. And you can taste the ridiculous amount of MSG put in their food. Such a shame

Food okay but nothing special. Vegetable spring rolls mostly batter and they made the cardinal sin of ordering. They missed a portion of rice and when I complained they denied receiving the order for it! I guess they didn’t hear because the takeaway is so noisy and they have a thick Perspex shield which also caused issues hearing. This is my first order and if they got that wrong I suspect they get others wrong. Won’t use again.

I am fussy with Chinese and this was so nice and tasted fresh with lots of flavour. The duck was very nice and sweet and sour dishes were on point. I would go here again and recommend it to others.

Recently started using this Chinese and cannot believe how good it is. Honestly the best Lemon Chicken dish I've ever eaten..and I've used a lot of chineses over the years. You'll sit and wait a while when ordering in the shop, but that's because of how fresh it is they are very busy because they're so good!! 5* hygiene rating too, always reassuring. Looking forward to my next Chinese meal, thanks

Best Chinese I’ve ever had and the only one I will ever use! Tried virtually everywhere else and it just doesn’t compare, would be a total waste of money to go anywhere else!
