We were warmly greeted as if we were old friends, with detailed explanations of the menu options. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience. I highly recommend the staff. Thank you.
Red Chiliez was a favorite of ours during our time in Southend-on-Sea and it did not disappoint, except for the time when it was closed due to government delays. We tried almost everything on the menu and the standout dish was the subtly seasoned "Buriyani". While it may not be a traditional biriyani, it is a spiced rice dish in the traditional Kerala style. In addition to this, other Kerala staples such as dosa or vada are best enjoyed fresh and hot. Overall, Red Chiliez offers authentic South Indian food, about 85% authentic, which is quite impressive considering you are not in India.
The South Indian cuisine at this restaurant is absolutely delicious and of the highest quality. The staff is friendly and provides excellent service. It is truly worth every penny and offers affordable prices.
One of the best South Indian restaurants I have experience. Excellent and delicious food. Menu is extensive and seasonal to a particularly high standard. Definitely fine food. Very recommended.
I have reviewed this restaurant twice before, and the only reason why I am not doing another lengthy praise, but this time I have to highlight that we had a takeaway and the food was as good as it was sitting in their restaurant. This...is by far and away the best curry in Southend, serving food with Kerala influence, and had to put another 5* review and acknowledge you can get a takeaway from them. Lamb and potato curry, grandmas chicken curry, fish in banana leaf, curried ladies fingers, steamed coconut spinach and the incredible Paratha. I can’t stop eating theses dishes. Stunning food. Absolutely stunning as always.
