Purple Penguin Premium Frozen Yogurt

I witnessed a disturbing incident at this restaurant. While enjoying our delicious froyo, a family with young children came in. The boy and girl, who looked to be around 9 and 5 years old, stuck their fingers into the froyo machine. It was a gross sight. They even put their fingers in their mouths and back into the machine. The parents didn't seem to care. We left immediately, concerned about the cleanliness of the place. Despite the cute vibe and friendly staff, we won't be returning.

Purple Penguin is one of our favorite spots. I don't feel too guilty indulging in their desserts. After dinner at Lone Star Steakhouse, make sure to make a stop at Purple Penguin. If the weather is nice, sit outside at the picnic tables for a pleasant afternoon or evening.

I went on a Friday night date with my two grandsons. The restaurant was very clean, thanks to the young woman in the brown work shirt who was constantly cleaning. She deserves a raise! The yogurt was delicious and the toppings tasted fresh. We will definitely be coming back again.

We have been pleased with our experiences here in the past up until last night. The two girls working were preoccupied with a group of their friends when we came in. One girl immediately told us not to try using the chocolate flavor because it's broken. We proceeded to get our froyo...the girl's friends had to tell her that we were waiting to be helped. I told her I was still waiting for my family to finish getting theirs so we weren't quite ready. A minute later we were ready all standing at the register, the one girl continued to socialize with her group of friends and the other walked straight past us, behind the register and straight to the back completely ignoring us. I had to assert myself that we were ready after awkwardly standing there while she carried on with her buddies. They all had a laugh when we said we were ready because she clearly wasn't doing her job. Super uncomfortable, unwelcoming, and unprofessional. I get these are young kids running the joint but they need basic training on customer service. Disappointed.

Ice cream good ... Expensive but fun set up. Most disgusting trash can near tables outside to eat I've EVER seen! Take it to go.
