Actually, I don't come to peckham because I was already at the keerb street food market popup and forzawin. that can change even though I have now discovered this jewel known as peckham bazaar. peckham bazaar is her prototypical destination restaurant where there is literally nothing else to do it at the point that is not recommended to arrive early, unless they want to be aimless. they're just here for a reason. with all this pressure the food...read more
Although I had only eaten a few hours before, I was ready for another meal and went to a very quiet part of peckham to reach peckham bazaar for about 10 minutes. the people have fled about it, so I was only too happy to book when lee jane had suggested to go to dinner there. it was not busy when we arrived shortly after 18 o'clock, but it was fully booked later, so make sure they reserve a table. it is open Thu-Fri 6-11pm and Sat-Sun 12.30-11pm near peckham bazaar there is nothing else so that they go on the lighter when they reach the top of the heaton road. the first thing they will see is chef chef john gionleka cooking a storm over an open fire on the terrace outside. it is...read more
With few remarkable exceptions, if you want to eat large, cheap food in london, you need to travel. where the rents are lower, it makes sense that restaurants can offer better food for less, and every time I was worth a sub £15 meal recently, shouting that it has been somewhere like whitechapel, tooting or camberwell zones 2 and above. yes, they take a bit longer to get, but if a handful of extra stops on the tube is everything that stops them from experiencing the wonder, that is a meal in apollo banana leaf, or silk road, then they don't deserve to be happy and so, ten minutes to foot from peckham rye subway station, through a quiet area, over the street...
Excellent, extaordinarily good food, really nice helpful staff. The dishes were very well thought-out, right down to the garnish. This is a chef with values, no short-cuts. Choose 'outdoors ' if you can (it 's indoors in the winter). 'Indoors ' is just a bit intimate with the open kitchen. Next time in London we will be back.
Absolutely perfect! Went for the second time last night and it will always be my go to on special days. The manager was so thoughtful and the food was crazy good again. I cant recommend this place enough.
