The Clockhouse - Southwark

I was in need of Wi-Fi to do some work on my laptop, and after a quick review on Zomato, I found out that this restaurant was the perfect place for me. I wasn't expecting much more than a cafe, but I was pleasantly surprised by the cozy atmosphere! The spiral staircase leading to the spacious cellar level was a nice touch, and I was able to relax and forget about the raining outside while enjoying a delicious bowl of chicken soup. The comfort, the friendly staff, and the tasty food made me come back multiple times throughout the week. It was truly a wonderful experience.

I used the Zomato app to find a nearby restaurant with wifi, as I needed to send some emails. The Clock was the closest option. From the outside, it looks like a typical small cafe, but once inside, you are greeted by a spiral staircase that leads to an extraordinary seating area (check out the photos). The food is quite expensive, but my colleague and I both had the soup of the day, a delicious creamy chicken and sweet, which paired well with a pot of tea. My meal and drink came to less than 5 pounds! I will definitely be returning to this place.

Caffes on Dalry Road is known for their friendly staff serving freshly cooked meals. The emphasis on service is apparent, with the clock in the restaurant reinforcing its importance. I initially came in to charge my phone, but after speaking with the manager, I ended up ordering a full breakfast with orange juice. Despite it being my fifth visit, the experience was enjoyable and I would definitely return for a quick bite.
