Samurai's Japanese Steakhouse

My boyfriend took me here last night to celebrate a new job since I never had this kind of meal before. I was so impressed by how friendly, energetic, and attentive the staff was! Minh did a great job with his energy and interacting with us and the food was so delicious. Fried rice is definitely the way to go ?

Great food, awesome atmosphere, enjoyed our experience

The service provided by Waitress Kirystn was exceptional. The establishment exudes a remarkable ambiance, making it an ideal venue for celebratory occasions such as birthdays and family gatherings. The culinary team demonstrates remarkable enthusiasm, contributing to an overall positive and energetic atmosphere. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking an uplifting and enjoyable experience.

This was our third time eating here. The food and service was good. We came back because we had good experiences in the past. This time around I had an issue with the drinks. I paid for two drinks and made them a double.. which they didn’t even have a shot in them. It sucked because the drinks were good when we went the time before but this time around were 0/10 paid $35 for a drink that tasted like water it was pretty frustrating. I’d recommend just getting a shot instead of drink. We ordered 4 drinks total and none of them tasted like they had any alcohol in them at all. Each drink was $15-25.Probably won’t be going back.

I am rating this place 3 stars, as the food was delicious but we wanted to take our kids out for dinner and they were super excited to be going too a hibachi grill. We usually go to Mandolin sushi and steakhouse in Tacoma, but decided to give this one a shot because we haven 't been in years and love the inside. Ian was our cook and he wasn 't very kid friend, he made comments like my table my rules if you don 't eat your veggies you don 't get ice cream. or I 'm tired of dealing with the peanut gallery when asked how his night was going... making jokes is fine but my kids left saying that guy was really mean and not nice to us. My friend had also asked the server when ordering for veggies with no onions, the server told her to let the cook know. When my friends boyfriend asked the cook, he glared at him. Once he got a side of veggies with no onions he called my friend a trouble maker and told her next time she needed to let them know prior which she had in the beginning when the server took our order. Ultimately I feel this cook is just not very family friendly, especially families bringing in younger children... My children were very well behaved during dinner, he made it very known he clearly doesn 't enjoy kids. Other than that our server Alyssa was great and we enjoyed our food very much. Next time we will definitely stick to 12st street steakhouse! They don 't charge extra for fried rice ?
