My family and I faced several rude remarks from the female manager, including questions about my son's food choices, a refusal to let us order a kids meal to go without my son being present, and witnessing her unprofessional conversations with delivery drivers. We really enjoy the food at Bonfire, but the poor customer service has led us to decide against returning. We typically aren’t the type to complain, but we feel it's important to address these issues with management. Additionally, cleanliness has been a problem; we've encountered dirty cups and sat at unclean tables. The restaurant has also been uncomfortably hot on multiple occasions. When it first opened, everything seemed great, but it seems to have declined since new ownership took over.
I strongly advise you to avoid this restaurant. There was hardly any sauce or flavor, and I even found a bone in the meat. The customer service was subpar as well. They charged me $25 for what tasted like microwaved mystery meat, poor-quality meat, dry noodles, and only four small pieces of pineapple in a large bowl with extra noodles. Instead, try Ninja Mongolian Grill in Columbia; it's much better, friendlier, and doesn't cost $25!
The restaurant was uncomfortably hot and not very clean. The food was overpriced and didn’t taste great. They also provided plastic forks for dining in. I would not recommend this place.
I won't be returning to this restaurant. A kid's mini corn dog costs $5.95, and if you want fries, that's an additional $3.00. Add another $2.75 for a drink, so the total comes to $11.75 for a kid's meal with a drink (not including taxes). The mini corn dogs were overcooked, and the bowls at the grill were about 1 to 2 inches thick, making them all look quite similar in size. My husband's food tasted off, while mine was just okay, but certainly not worth the total of $64.23, which included a $3.00 tip—despite the fact that you have to clear your own plates and get your own drinks. On a positive note, the duck wontons were good.
My son and I went for dinner around 5:30 PM and ordered two regular bowls. Unfortunately, the food had a foul odor that seemed concerning. As a transplant recipient, my son has to be particularly careful about what he eats. The restaurant itself was quite dirty, with sticky and unclean tables. When my son went to the restroom to find something to clean the table, he reported that it smelled awful and refused to go in. My son is nearly forty and has attended culinary school, so he understands the importance of proper cleanliness. We will not be returning to this restaurant.
