From my experience the floor is run by only two people, and there's only a couple hands in the kitchen, so you may wait a little longer than what you're used to. That's ok though, as this place is worth any wait and any price. It's been an unbelievable experience everytime and I'd recommend it to anyone, anytime, anyday. The food melts in your mouth
We had a great meal, monk fish and seafood platter florentine. The ginger cake dessert was to die for. Love this place.
This was the best meal I have ever had in my entire life, and my boyfriend agreed. I had been following on facebook for several months but the food far exceeded my wildest expectations. Everything from our wine, to the soup and appetizers, to the entree, desserts and espresso, completely blew our minds and challenged our pallets in the most delightful way. The service and atmosphere were also outstanding. It almost feels like this restaurant is 'too good ' for our simple little town. Truly otherwordly. Thank you for a wonderful experience. We were there to celebrate our three year anniversary and I think we chose the perfect place! We will be back.
What a fantastic dining experience! From the moment we stepped from the noisy street into the delightfully quaint (and quiet! dining room our experience was top drawer. Owner Isabelle greeted us and showed us to our reserved booth. The atmosphere of the restaurant was a perfectly romantic setting, laid out in such a way to encourage intimate conversation. The dining room is small, yet it doesn't feel crowded. At our table Isabelle took the time to carefully explain the drinks (including specialty wines available. She left to give us a few moments to peruse the drink selections before sending over the pleasant hostess to ask for our drink selections. While we had only coffee and water with our meals, the other patrons there appeared to enjoy their drink selections. Soon Isabelle was back to describe Chef Jan Kinds specialty appetizers and dishes. After here vivid descriptions I wanted to try them all! We decided on a wonderfully prepared appetizer-seared scallops on a pumpkin puree; for the main fare, my wife had sautéed shrimp and I had the chef specialty rack of lamb with Dijon sauce; for dessert we had the molten chocolate lava cake. All the courses were prepared with excellence. My wife was in heaven with the molten lava cake; it was delicious! By far my favorite was the rack of lamb which was one of the best preparations of lamb I have ever eaten. The pacing of the meal was just right for us as we were there for a romantic meal celebrating our 34 year anniversary. If you are in a hurry this might not be the choice for you. However, if you are in the mood to be treated well, to be served perfectly prepared food, in a delightfully quaint atmosphere, by people who obviously love their business this is most definitely the place for you.
We have driven by this place a million times and finally decided to stop in for our anniversary dinner. When you walk in, it's almost like you're transporting to a different place. You don't feel like you're in Spring Hill anymore. The service was great and the food was delicious. My NY strip was perfectly cooked and my husband loved his rack of lamb. And the creme brulee was the best we've ever had. The menu is not overly complicated but you can tell they take pride in their fresh ingredients and take the time to create beautiful dishes. Well worth the visit. We will be back!
