Chef Wayne's Big Mamou - Springfield

Great little restaurant with a lot of character. Saw many locals dining hear and can see why. Food was really, really tasty (had the jambalaya) and service was great. The inside decor is fun (e.g. alligator heads and other Louisiana-style items). Definitely recommend!

Had a big ole plate of blackened catfish, seasoned rice, veggies and cornbread.???? If you haven't been here yet you HAVE to stop by. My plate of catfish was better than the dinner I had on my last trip to Memphis. Plus it was great to see Lisaagain.???? She is the best. Remember to bring cash and help Chef Wayne keep his prices low and friendly.

Awesome food, very authentic! Chef Wayne loves his customers, and is very passionate. As I ate I watched the man researching new recipes. Top shelf!

Really amazing food. I always stop by this place when I drive through. They also have really good special hot sauce. Must try!

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was even better. Everyone was having a good time. Laughing and joking. Bring your own bottle and have it with dinner. I had a great time with my friends there tonight. First time I had been there.
