Charlie's - Springfield

$10 for a huge rib with potatoes and salad? Yes, this is a special not sure which day(s). Can you get it on your way, seldom? No. You need these juices for the potato, but it's $10, rather delicate, even much better than rubber syrup or stripes, and definitely rib eye. I give Charlie's 5.0 when they let us change the level, it is cooked for $2 and throw butter to compensate for lost juices. Either way, it's $10, I'm back and they also have seafood.

My family frequents Charlie's weekly,this place has the best seafood &steaks in a statewide radius! CHARLIE'S SEAFOOD PLATTER will feed two (2) easily (piled high)and the huge ribeye steak will melt in your mouth!!! Now get there quick,you'll LOVE IT!

Best Fried Catfish!. Since I have lived my whole life in Southern Louisiana, I think of myself as a great time seafood lovers and know good or bad seafood when it serves me. During a recent visit to Charlie's I had the #2 fried seafood combo (catfish, shrimp, oysters filled crabs. The fried catfish was the first rate, had never better (forget about the inflated place on the road in Manchac, this fried catfish will hit everyone in N.O.! Fried shrimps were beautifully large and wonderfully spiced, the fried oysters were a little dry and small, but still tasteful and the filled crab was excellent and prepared the old-fashioned way in the actual crab shell (not this tinfoil thing with a perfect mix of spices. But back to catfish... extremely fresh, fried to order ( takes a little more time, but isn't that what you have come here far? , perfectly spiced/dreamed and a good thickness (I like thicker fillets...not the thin stuff that like nothing but fried dough and especially...greaseless! Next visit I will either the Wels/Shrimp combo or just a plate full of this wonderful fried catfish, indeed!!

Great food, everything!! We planned a trip from Prairieville to the restaurant Taste of Bavaria in Springfield when we found that they had closed. What a disappointment! Looking for Urbanspoon, we found Charlies and decided to try it. Yeah, it's loud and there's a little waiting, but boy, that food is from this world, all of it! My wife is very critical when it comes to food. She attacked Charlie's fried catfish. It tasted really different from the usual fried fish....as the oil was super clean and almost sweet. I ordered a grilled seafood plate and it was by far the best I ever had in a restaurant. The grilled oysters were delicious and the grilled catfish was great. Her grilled shrimps were also good. From all our restaurants, I'm gonna put Charlie at Number One. Philay moved to number two.
