Our Hero Express Subs - Springfield

Owner was absolutely fantastic; kind and helpful. The staff was busy, but polite. Food was delicious, fresh (and freshly made) every single time. I've tried many of the subs, salads and burgers but have yet to be disappointed. The store is always clean (even compared to other Our Hero restaurants). After 20+ visits I can say that I am thankful for the honest hospitality and great service. Side Note There were a few other reviews on here that were negative and in my opinion blatantly false. I recommend you try it for yourself.

After 20yrs of living in Florida... We had to stop in and get a sub... So glad we did... It was just like my wife and I remember!!.. Very well worth the 20yr wait!!

Really good cheese steak sandwich and overall it's absolutely worth a visit. I felt that the prices were reasonable considering what you get for the money Service was fast and courteous although we arrived well after the lunch rush The place itself, however, feels a little sketchy. The decor needs some work. It feels like I'm eating in the remnants of a Subway from the 90s. There's nothing on the walls. I feel as if dining in would be too depressing. So, get your order to go and enjoy it in a more uplifting environment.

The taste of the subs is what keeps us coming back. They seem to be short staffed every time we go. This poses an issue with the cleanliness of the restaurant, but the cashier is always very friendly despite being busy. Several menus and signs have grammatical and spelling errors. This doesn't affect the quality of the food, it just isn't very professional.
