Contribuisci feedback1 star for food and service because I went to the wrong store after ordering at the one on Plum St., and the person there said I can 't get my sandwich there because, the owner doesn 't want one sandwich getting thrown out. I was about to ask her why I couldn 't just double my order, but she seemed intent on not making my sandwich, regardless. I would suggest this company adopt a policy of selling unbought sandwiches on a walk-in, POS, discount type deal. It will cut down on all that wasted food she was worried about having. I won 't be back to that wrong store again. They get a 3 star overall because the nice old lady was pleasant, funny and appreciated my sense of humor... give her a raise!
Food was expensive and not that good. Sub had barely any meat on it. Was very disappointing. Would not recommend. Will never eat there again. Cost about $50 for 2 people.
Went to the plum Street location at 8:30 , yes they do close at 9 but a sub takes 10 minutes to make . I actually used to work for them so I am aware of the entire process .. I loved our hero, been a friendly customer for years, but today was a horrible experience. The man had scraggly hair under a ball cap I didn't catch his name, was talking to another customer at the counter and there was another man sitting a minute or so went by and he looked at us and was like I'm glad I'll be closing these doors in 5 minutes , then proceeded to ask if I was there to place an order, cause they are closing in 5 minutes, my husband said are u telling me I can't order food?? He said uh, yes cause I'm closing in 5 minutes.. and proceeded to argue with my husband as we walked out the door. I have NEVER felt disrespected at any of Doug Rowlands stores more than I have today.. unacceptable.. I also work in food industry and I understand how it is. It sucks. But that's what we sign up for. It would have taken 10 minutes out of the 30 left on the open sign.. and I wouldn't have even wrote this review if he wasnt actually so rude and embarrassing. I hope he learns some customer service skills soon, could have even earned tip from me, cause again, I know what the restaurant life is like.
A lot of the subs have The Works! Online menu never says what that is.
Delicious! Great food, great service, great scenery!
