The line to eat was long, which was to be expected for a Saturday evening's first seating. The food was decent, nothing particularly special, though I did enjoy the seafood options. I liked the carbonara-style pasta and the roasted vegetables, but I’m not really a dessert person, and I found the desserts to be on the dry side. On a positive note, the staff was very accommodating.
I've been for a few years for her buffet to the spring wood festival and I'm happy with every visit. in the run of the years their menu has improved and boiled and their service seems always good with the cleanliness of the restaurant space also always be good. I love buffets for groups because there is something for everyone and of course the one that is distributed at the end is always a welcome contract after a few teller hearty foods.
Got invited by a friend tonight to try out this bistro style buffet dinner. Considering this very reasonable price for all-you-can-eat dinner I think this place has done a very good job! FOOD: There are a lot more food choices than we expected (as we already knew the price before we came . Heaps of fresh cold prawns and mussels; salad bar with at least 8 varieties; 2 choices of hot soup bread rolls; deep fried chicken nuggets, squids, chips, fish which is a good news for fans of deep-fried food (I’m not a big fan though ; roast beef, roast pork, steamed fish, and LOTS of steamed veggies that are crispy not soggy! Not to mention their hot and cold dessert/fruit bars. I was too full and didn’t get to try any of the dessert. But my friend did enjoy the hot waffle with soft serve ice cream! ATMOSPHERE: bistro style restaurant and suits casual family/friends gathering very well. there’s a kids playground too kids love the place a lot for sure. SERVICE: very nice and friendly staff! Came to collect our used dishes in a timely manner with a big smile on their faces! Will definitely come back for some casual dinner on some nights when I don’t feel like cooking :
Inside, there was a considerable line for the hot food, but all the other dishes available were excellent. The salad bar, meats, roasts, and variety of cuisines offered were all fresh and flavorful. The all-you-can-eat option allowed us to sample many different dishes, which was great. The dessert bar was also a treat. Reservations are a must, as you won’t want to miss out. Overall, it was a fantastic night out, and you definitely won’t leave feeling hungry!
For a pub type buffet this wasn't at all bad. Not a big fan of the humble buffet, but in this instance I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were really pleasant food was replaced as soon as the trays were emptied. There were plenty of vegetarian options for me but I chose the roasted vegetables paired with some small fish bites. The vegetables were piping hot (usually not the case in buffets) roast potatoes were particularly crunchy just as I like them pumpkin nicely roasted. Deserts were plentiful varied, my pick was the bread butter pudding good old fashioned fare at it's best
