Overrated frustrated is what I can say... waited on a 50 min. it took 85 min to sit. ordered and waited 47 min for our food (party of 4.) except for the färsen appetizer, the rest of our food was less fun. not as advertised and hardly warm. Maybe it was a night for us, but I can't recommend it or go back.
We were looking for a local spot to eat and Husband came up with this place. As a Navy veteran, this place is right up my alley as the owner is a distinguished Navy Commander. The place was busy and everyone seemed to be enjoying their dishes. Our server Kaitlyn was a delight! I had the fried shrimp and Husband had the mahi fish sandwich. We’ll be going back again soon.
This is what Florida is really about. The Commanders looks like a very casual roadside diner with a wrap around porch. We sat on the porch and had a delicious lunch: A shrimp sandwich and a catch of the day--Mahi Mahi entree. Both were perfectly cooked. The location is close to the bay and the ocean...we genuinely felt ocean breezes wafting through while we ate. Afterwards we discovered the clam farm which is part of Commanders. they raise shellfish right there--and Mangrove trees too. Very interesting.
Got the seafood combo and it was delish.Everything was super fresh and the shrimp and ostyers were ful of flavor Thank you chef and team for an amazing dinner and great service . Thank you for your kindness.P.s. sweet tea was on point too ??
