Jungle Jim's George Street - St. John's

While strolling along George Street, we stumbled upon this bustling restaurant in the late afternoon and decided to give it a try. We sat outside on the spacious and lovely terrace and enjoyed some affordable cold beers. We shared a couple of delicious nachos that were so filling, we decided to call it a night. A fantastic accidental find!

Here at 7:00 for dinner. They said they were pretty busy, but they could put us on one of their picnic tables on the side street. We were thrilled. It was less crowded with just two gentlemen at two tables from us. We immediately gave cutlery and menus. We decided what we had to drink and eat, and we waited and waited and waited. The two men of us were served their drinks, but nobody recognized us. After 45 minutes waiting, we finally left. Terrible service. Expected JJ a little better than that.

I just walked off the street and looked for a beer... decided to see the menu and suddenly had a desire for wings. Beer was good and the wings were a home run. Server was helpful and in good mood.

This was the worst dining experience I have ever had. I have never been treated so poorly before. They messed up our order, forgot drinks, and even gave us the wrong dish. The manager and hostess had terrible attitudes. The hostess threatened to kick me out after I complained to the manager about the lack of service. I would advise avoiding this restaurant, as the staff at George Street Jungle Jims are disrespectful to customers. I suggest going to a different location instead.

We had an incredible server who was so friendly and took the time to get to know us. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was ideal for a Friday night date. Despite being short-staffed, the service was still top-notch.
