Quintanas De La Plaza - St. John's

I'm not a fan of Mexican food but my partner was in the mood for fajitas so off we went. We have been here before but it has been years.Our female server was very nice and attentive. We were given complimentary tortilla chips and salsa at the beginning. I'm not a fan of their chips, they are quite bland. And the salsa was very, very runny.We ordered poquitas as an appetizer. They were quite tasty although the cheese dip tasted a bit too much like Cheez Whiz to me. My partner had fajitas and was quite happy with them. A large serving and he couldn't eat it all.I ordered a fajita salad. It was also very good. No complaints about our main meals at all. Some of the prices were a bit high. ($9 for soup of the day??!!)The restaurant was getting busy when we were there but our food came out quickly as as I mentioned, our server was wonderful.It is wheelchair accessible.

One of my consistent favourite restaurants in the city. Always a great variety of soups, and the food is always fresh, tasty with great service and value!

Consistent for decades. Mexican Flag is a decent meal. The cooks have changed perhaps 100 times so at times it can be hit or miss. Usually busy which tends to be a good sign.

A few friends went for happy hour drinks. It seemed like an imposition to be there. Tried to talk us out of our drink choices, very slow, no napkins. It was difficult to order more drinks, worst service in years.

We had a nice lunch at Quintana today. The interior was bright, clean and colourful. The staff friendly and helpful.After trying some of the complementary chips and salsa (a little bland) our main courses arrived.My BBQ Burrito was a little too sweet for my taste but adding a little of the habenero sauce made it much better. The pork inside was good and the rice and refried beans, delicious!My partner enjoyed her beef tacos and said that they needed nothing extra.We will definitely return and try out more of the menu.
