The Adelaide Oyster House - St. John's

Excellent and creative dishes. Service was uneven - all 6 dishes were brought simultaneously despite our party of two.

I loved this place because I love oysters. The tacos were wonderful as well. The people I was with thought it was loud but I loved the food.

Adelaide Oyster House is a fantastic tapas style restaurant with reasonable prices for excellent quality food and friendly service. The downsides are they don't take reservations and it can be very, very noisy. Also some of the dishes were quite spicy which I was not expecting. However the food was so good we would have gone back if they weren't closed for dinner on Sunday.

Do NOT go here for conversation. Server and Hostess very friendly. Food - some good especially the tuna sashimi option. Fresh, flavorful and yummy. Chicken wings with tamarind - oversauced. Wild salmon bowl - excellent. Fish tacos - good, small, single serve but overwhelmed by too many sauces. Need to let the fish shine through. Mexican corn - not great. Tasted like the corn has been soaked in water. Ask your server for suggestions of what is best and follow their advice.

Our last meal in St. John`s was definitely our best! Great atmosphere and super friendly staff! Fish tacos, oysters, and ceviche were amazing!
