The Keg - St. John's

This was my second visit to the keg in St. John's. My first visit was spectacular, the second not so much. First off I made reservations well in advance to have a table next to a window. When we arrived we were seated in the back corner of the restaurant in a spectacularly dark nook right next to the very loud bar. After several requests, thankfully they were able to move us. The order took a very long time to come out, and the rare steak I ordered was very very well done, so well done I returned it. My guest was left eating on his own, and by the time my steak returned, properly done, I was left eating alone as well. This was the first time in my life I have been so disappointed as to return a meal. That being said, both times, the waitstaff were spectacular. Unfortunately after this experience I don't think I'll be heading back.

Resto Pour toute la famille. Situé près du port avec une petite terrasse extérieure. Pour tous les goûts mais pas pour tous les budgets.

With the sun shining we snacked and drank some cold beers on the patio deck harbourside. This is a fantastic venue but this time no steaks ....just enjoying the great weather and the comfortable atmosphere outside on the Keg deck. Snacks are a bit pricy. The staff are very, very hospitable.

Its unfortunate that this restaurant isn't open for LUNCH! What's up with that? We used to love a work lunch at the Keg, and now that isn't even possible!

As always, great service, great food and a wonderfully relaxing and fun atmosphere. A tad expensive but worth it!
