We ordered more than we needed, but enjoyed everything. The spring rolls were larger than expected and my family thought they were delicious. The avocado sushi was also tasty and served with bright red ginger. We also ordered various noodle and tofu dishes, including pad see ew, tofu with mixed vegetables, Singapore noodles with tofu, General Tso's tofu, and the triple greens. The triple greens were flavorful, although very garlicky. The General Tso's tofu was not as impressive to me, but my family enjoyed it. The tofu was pre-fried and cubed, but that didn't bother us. The restaurant itself was simple. St. Thomas had many restaurants, but they were all fully booked during the holidays and did not offer many vegetarian-friendly options. It was noted that most places offering vegetarian food only did so during lunch hours. This restaurant in Red Hook may not have been the best we've ever had, but it was good enough and we left satisfied.
We ordered several curry dishes and General Tso's tofu, along with appetizers. Everything was delicious. The server and the person I spoke to before coming in were very knowledgeable about their menu and what options were vegan. Tofu could be added to one of their entrees (they had General Tso's tofu listed on the menu along with a few other veggie options), and the only dish that contained fish sauce was the pad thai.
We tried a few different curry dishes and General Tso's tofu, along with some appetizers. Everything was delicious. Our server, as well as the person I spoke to on the phone before arriving, were very informed about the menu and understood what vegan options were available. They mentioned that tofu could be added to any of their dishes, and we noticed that General Tso's tofu was listed separately along with a few other vegetarian options. The only dish that contained fish sauce was the Pad Thai.
I really enjoyed the General Tso's tofu with lo mein at this restaurant!
We had dinner here over the New Year's break. We were staying in a place without a kitchen, so this was the first decent meal we had in several days. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. We started with some small egg rolls that were enjoyed by my family, and also tried the avocado sushi which was delicious and served with bright red ginger. We also ordered a few noodle and tofu dishes, including pad see ew, tofu with mixed vegetables, Singapore noodles with tofu, and General Tso's triple greens. The General Tso's dish was a bit too garlicky for our liking, but the rest of the dishes were enjoyable. The tofu was pre-fried and cubed, which we weren't big fans of. The restaurant itself was simple, but we appreciated the variety of vegetarian options available. We had trouble finding vegetarian-friendly restaurants in St. Thomas, as most places were fully booked for the holidays and didn't offer many vegetarian dishes on their menus. Overall, while this restaurant may not have been the best we've ever been to, it was good enough and left us feeling grateful for a decent meal.
