The staff at this restaurant were extremely friendly and willing to check ingredient lists for their waffles and baked goods to see if they were vegan (unfortunately, they were not, but they did have some vegan options). They offer 2 vegan gelato flavors: chocolate and butter drip, both of which were decadent and tasty. We tried both flavors and they were amazing! They mentioned that the base for their gelato is soy milk. In addition to vegan gelato, they also offer vegan sorbets, although we did not try them. They use hemp milk, coconut milk, and soy milk in their smoothies.
We had to wait near this restaurant to catch the ferry to and from St. John. They offer non-dairy milks for coffee and smoothies, which is great. However, when we visited, they only had one vegan ice cream flavor and no sorbets. The flavor was pink peppercorn mint, not particularly appealing to me. Someone in our group tried it and, although it wasn't as bad as expected, it still wasn't to my liking.
I was thrilled to find a restaurant that offers vegan gelato on their menu! I tried the kokosgelato affogato style. It was such a quaint café with outdoor seating and a play area. It's located right by the marina.
The staff at this restaurant were extremely friendly and willingly checked ingredient lists for their waffles and baked goods to confirm if they were vegan (they were not, but they did offer some vegan options). They offer two vegan gelato flavors, chocolate and peanut butter, which we tried together and both found delicious. The base for their gelato is soy milk. They also have vegan sorbets available, although we did not try them. They offer hemp milk, coconut milk, and soy milk as options for their smoothies.
