It's an ok bowl of soup, but not what I was expecting. Fried rice was much better as it isn't as oily as before. Pan fried gyoza were decent. The price is right for the lunch menu, family of four got 4 soups, 3 appetizers and paid about $70 before tip. Restaurant is clean and ambiance is nice. Overall if you are a tonkotsu ramen lover looking for a great bowl of soup, keep looking.
I hate to go to a place where I see stellar reviews and realize that the reviews are fake or by people who don't know what quality food is. I ordered the kakuni ramen with a side dish of braised pork over rice. When we arrived it was pretty dead for a late lunch. Most orders were takeout. Two guys servicing the front. Ramen had a lot of toppings. Soup broth was mediocre. Then the braised pork over the rice was so salty and dry. It was just way overcooked. What a disappointment. I don't like to have them take it back but it was so sad. Then I asked for a substitute and they charged me a whole other new side dish. Seriously. Your quality of food is wack and not edible and you're still gonna charge me? Obviously my first and last time here.
I recently visited Gomen Ramen in Stanton and had an amazing experience. This cozy restaurant serves delicious Japanese Ramen, appetizers, and drinks. Despite being busy during lunchtime, the service was friendly and the food was so flavorful. They offer a variety of noodle choices including thin, thick, spinach, tofu, low-carb, and gluten-free noodles. I enjoyed their healthy options. The menu include different types of broth like chicken, pork, and a veggie option. I loved the meat lover ramen with triple chasu as it was a generous portion and the soup was rich and flavorful. Additionally, they offer fried rice, udon, curry, and a variety of appetizers such as fried dumplings, takoyaki, and Karaage. The Karaage was especially good, perfectly fried and juicy. The service was friendly, although the food did take a while to arrive. However, the delicious food made the wait worthwhile.
It 's consistently great at Gomen. Their broths are delicious. The double meat lovers is my go-to !!!
I should've thought of mapo ramen sooner. I mean, mapo tofu and ramen are two family favorites. Never would've thought of combining them! Portions are generous; being the glutton I am I did not heed the server's recommendation to get regular rather than the large, but as a result I had some to take home for wifey. Buddy got the special $7.99 ramen with 3 pieces chashu. If I wasn't such a piggy, that's a really good deal!!! The two servers do team service well, complementing each other and quickly getting to every table. Want to come back to try some of their other options like jjajang ramen.
