Brick - Steamboat Springs

I think the Food was very good. I have an issue with the 20% Tip for Take out orders. I believe a tip for Take Out Orders is appropriate, however 20% is high when the service is mostly placing the food into plastic containers. This is a restaurant first for me and disappointing.

Friendly staff, tasty pizza and ice cold beers to go. Couldn't have asked for a better combo!

We’re from the U.K. and had never been to Steamboat Springs before so everything was a new experience. We knew we were there out of season but still wanted to find good, reasonably priced, food. Up until Brick places were pretty pricy with mediocre food. Alas we found Brick on our last night because if we had found it on day one we’d have returned every night, it really was that good. Not just the food but the staff our server was lovely Lisa made it all the better. A cry went up just as we arrived “Moose!” and almost everyone rushed to see this beautiful beast trot up a hill in the distance. Not being a huge pizza fan I had the sausage and mushroom rigatoni and my biggest regret was not asking for the recipe. I have never tasted such an amazing sauce. The chef needs to be kept sweet, he’s good. My husband had a spicy pepperoni pizza and managed to eat the lot ! it was that good. Sadly there was room for nothing else. If you’re in the area go and if it’s peak season I’d book ahead, these guys are on to a winner. Thank you for such a tasty and reasonably priced supper.

When I picked up my to-go order, I was surprised to find that a 20% gratuity was automatically added. While I usually leave a tip when I dine in and receive service, I don’t think it’s appropriate for a to-go order, especially since I wasn't informed about it in advance. I don’t plan on returning. The pizza was decent, but it wasn’t worth the $25 I ended up spending.
