Timber Torch - Steamboat Springs

It was difficult to get the attention of a bartender to place our order, even with a fairly quiet crowd early in the season. The spinach and beet salad with goat cheese and pistachios was decent and looked visually appealing, which made it all the more puzzling how the pork chops could come out so poorly from the kitchen. They were really disappointing. The dry, cracked buns were nothing like the soft, fluffy bao that we anticipated; this one dish really detracted from our overall experience in the restaurant.

This restaurant is a fantastic choice for families. It's conveniently located at the mountain base or in the square. The kids absolutely loved the mac and cheese, so I highly recommend it. The chili and soup are exceptional, and I strongly suggest trying them. A pro tip: pair the grilled cheese with either the chili or soup for a satisfying meal! The queso was just average, so I would recommend opting for something else. Our server, Matt, was outstanding—definitely five stars! He was professional, welcoming, and attentive to our needs.

A perfect place to unwind after a day on the slopes! They have excellent chili and a delicious soup of the day. Plus, their beer selection is impressive and the staff is really friendly!

Friendly service (if slow, but this is expected in the restaurant in the center of everything), really delicious food. We got the amazing Kung pao Brussels spits, burgers, two salads (bee with chicken and power salad with salmon). All were excellent.

Our service was very fast and welcoming, our server was Victoria and she made the experience fun and enjoyable. THE FOOD on the other hand was so expensive but thats to be expected considering it is on the base and owned by the mountain. The food was good the sauce that comes with the truffle frys was soooooo good. But the burgers were burgers nothing really special, gnocchi was good but could have used more truffle oil because it wasn't truffle. I would recommend people to try timber and touch at least once. I would have given more stars if the prices were not so steep.
