There was a very, very large pile of mushed up pork. Seemed like it was blended opposed to pulled. It tasted good but it was almost a cream with how smushy the consistency was. Mashed potatoes kind of. And there was a ton of it, oddly underneath the Mac and cheese. Which was large shells which I found odd also, and they were also pretty smushy. But the cheese flavoring wasn't bad. There was way more pork than macaroni and cheese. My daughter ordered the same thing, she couldn't eat it at all. Anything else I've ever had from here has been really really good so I'm going with 3 stars. The turkey dinner I know for a fact is always amazing. The prime rib also. And lots of other things I've had over the years. Burgers and frys are always good as well as the chicken pot pie. I almost got that! It's always good. The chicken fingers are really, really good too. We went to see Two for the Road from 6:30-9 last night for our one year anniversary. We are friends with the band and lots of people that regularly follow them. There were lots of people there at the beginning of the night. By 8 many people had cleared out. Unfortunately the staff had a bad attitude about the night. The bar tender complained more than once to more than one person about table turnover. He was brazen enough to come over to our table and tell us to make sure to tip our waitress well because the tables weren't turning over. There are a lot of upset customers now that all know what was going on and are turned off that someone would be that rude, presumptuous and unwelcoming. My husband never wants to go back now. Who wants to go out and get talked to like that? Meal type: Other Price per person: $20–30 Service: 1
Today, we were in Sterling, MA, to visit an antique shop we've never been to. It was around noon, and we were hungry, so I asked the store manager for a recommendation for lunch. She recommended this establishment. We ordered a steak and cheese with fries. Seems simple, right? The steak and cheese was half gristle and had orange cheese! The fries were underdone and soggy....almost like the fryolator wasn't hot enough. I would never go back here for lunch. Three hours later, I was in the bathroom. We love Barbour's crossing!! Their food is always delicious! Hot and a lot of home made type meals. Their menu is only 1 page but both sides are full of options. Homemade chili, chowda, Texas beef ribs and their seafood are always in our regular order and highly recommended. Thanks Barbour's crossing!
