The cheese board was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, and the staff were attentive without being overbearing. It was definitely on the expensive side, but for our honeymoon we wanted to treat ourselves and it was worth every penny!
Unique and delicious food in a calm relaxing environment. The amuse bouche were really tasty, and in some aspects they were the best course of the meal. Loved the sweetbreads and lamb dishes, but the cheese serving was in a class of its own. Disappointed with the lemon meringue dessert all similar textures and no contrasting flavours to complement each other. Homemade chocolates and madeleines were delicious.
Food, service, ambience, wine were all exceptional. We were celebrating our recent wedding and were made to feel very special and welcome. We had a truly wonderful evening. Fantastic restaurant experience.
Excellent food. Every course on the tasting menu was thoroughly enjoyable.
The overall experience was at best mixed and ultimately very disappointing. We chose the pescatarian tasting menu with white flight. The food was imaginative and tasty, and some courses were excellent. The wine selection was first rate. The service was friendly and helpful. However, the experience was spoilt by continual loud music being broadcast throughout. The restaurant is located next to and shares an extended space with the bar, and it doesn't seem to work. We asked twice for the music volume to be turned down, and while it was reduced a little, it remained obtrusive. We overheard diners at the next table also being unhappy with the noise. What made it worse was that the music was a poor quality cross between rhythmic sub-disco and lounge music. Wholly inappropriate for a Michelin starred restaurant. If we had known what it would be like, we would not have gone there, and we will not be returning.
