If you want a boozer that's reasonably welcoming, this is ok. If you want the cosy, comfortable hotel described on the website, this is not it. A most uncomfortable venue. The rooms smelled. The menu was nothing like what was advertised on the website. The promised breakfast was non-existent. Even the telephone number on the website is wrong, and remained so after I had pointed out to them. Just avoid it Rooms: 1

I visited this charming pub while catching up with friends for a Sunday carvery. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a lovely place to spend the afternoon. The food was excellent—a true traditional Sunday lunch. There were three meat options available, and my friend remarked that the lamb was the best she had ever tasted away from home. I opted for the homemade vegan nut roast, which was absolutely delicious. The vegetables were cooked to perfection, and the vegan gravy was delightful as well. The beer was fantastic; I enjoyed a lovely pint. I only wish I lived closer to this wonderful spot! Service: 5/5.
