I'm surprised by the 4.1 rating, because Quahog's always delivers fantastic and fresh seafood in a relaxed environment. It's not fancy and it's not trying to be that way. It's a bit expensive, but honestly, if you're staying in Stone Harbor you should expect food and drinks to be expensive. In my opinion, the prices are fairly representative of many establishments serving fresh, non-fried, seafood. Good seafood is typically expensive. I've been to this restaurant for a total of around 10 times over many years and only once was the service a bit lackluster. Perhaps I'm too easy going but I think that's pretty good. Remember, these are waiters, not your servants. Tangent aside, get yourself the lobster roll, oysters, or fish tacos. The lobster roll held it's own against New England establishments. Cocktails are good too!
One of the better seafood restaurants in Stone Harbor area. Gets super crowded around dinner time, better to make reservation ahead of time. The restaurant has mostly indoor sitting only, with few tables outside of shed, under open space. The menu items and drinks are written with chalks in boards hanging on walls, but they hand out paper menus too. This place lots of interesting sea food dishes. They start you off with complementary chickpeas. The appetizer and entrees do take some time to come out, during rush hours. We really like their clamps, mussels, blackened fish (very well seasoned), and the Moqueca stew. Unfortunately, the margaritas were little disappointing. Out of the three margaritas we ordered, only Passion Fruit had some taste of the fruit, for Mango and Blood Orange, we couldn’t find any presence of fruit, just tasted alcohol. The kids pasta with marinara also very blend. As the restaurant is mostly under a shed, it gets really loud, as people are talking and having a good time. So, we also had to talk really loud among selves. Solid place to dine. They let us combine reservations to sit with our family. The food was decent, don't expect lobster to be as good as lobster from Maine. They were very good at getting the kids orders and getting them out ASAP, even when we ordered more for them. It's a popular spot, so try to leave the stroller home, the spacing isn't quite wide enough for wider strollers.
Nice place and very good service. We each ordered something different. I had the Casado which was excellent especially the plantain. My wife had the fish tacos which were very good. My daughter had the Linquine which was also good. Her friend had the Lobster Roll which she enjoyed. Overall the meals were well prepared and very tasty. Service was also excellent. We were seated quickly, and our waitress took our order right away. The food was brought out promptly from the kitchen. I would definitely come back here again.
Food was very good. Would definitely recommend crab cakes and nachos, old bay fries were great too. Service was slow at points but it was very busy and so I don’t discredit them for that. My only issue was the cleanliness of some of the dishes, cups, and silverware. There were bugs and other small things inside the waters and other drinks we got as well as on the plates and silverware. It was disgusting, but luckily they accommodated and brought us new things.
