I stopped by after spotting it on Google, and I really enjoyed the food! I had a veggie plate that included collard greens, dressing gravy, mac and cheese, and yams. The yams were just the right amount of sweetness. The collards could’ve used a touch of salt for my taste, but that’s just how I like it. The dressing was fantastic, and the mac and cheese was good—not too salty at all. I wasn’t a fan of the cornbread, but I can be picky about that. Overall, I’ll definitely be back!
This restaurant has a very cozy, country kitchen vibe and is staffed by a wonderful family. The location is great, and the menu prices are reasonable with a variety of delicious options. The food tasted amazing, and it was refreshing to enjoy lightly seasoned dishes for a change—just a sprinkle of pepper made everything truly delightful! The only disappointment for me was the peach cobbler, which I didn't enjoy as much.
The food was absolutely delicious, hearty, and packed with flavor. It's a fantastic spot for anyone who is lactose intolerant. They exceeded my expectations by taking extra care to ensure I wasn’t served any dairy products. I enjoyed the baked white meat chicken, black-eyed peas, and cabbage. If I could, I would give it ten stars!
I had the fried pork chop, and it was incredibly tender. The collard greens and cabbage are essential accompaniments for any entree combo. Of course, there are plenty of other sides to choose from as well.
