I began to snuggle with those who were fresh today and they were so good I went for a second starter of whitebait and aioli. proper whitebait not the baked deep fried gown that is so common. if they have a good appetit, the second starter of whitebait is a must for only £3.50 my main part of the pfanne fritted hake was perfect, crispy skin, and the fish spot on with a cape butter sauce, devoured veg and pomme puree. a competent team that works well together and sees as far as possible, 100% satisfied customers. 10 out of 10.
Wow. Wouldn’t be out of place in London, New York or Sydney. Beautiful space, ambience perfect, attention to detail first class. Staff attentive, courteous and bang on the money. Grab yourself a place at the bar and watch how service should be run. Chef…Bravo. Your management and mentoring of the staff was a pleasure to watch. As to the food…exquisite. Best whiting I’ve ever tasted (apologies to all my Kiwi mates, but this is how it’s done! . Scallops, plump and cooked to perfection. Hake…yep, outrageously good. Nice wine list without being pretentious, attention paid to offering some interesting beers and fabulous Single Malts aplenty. Seriously guys, good on you. Delivering that experience in a small, remote location is no mean feat…I doff my cap. Thank you.
We had the most beautiful food Last night. Fantastic service by all the staff. Great decor and music. Highly recommend. We can't wait to go back already. Unlike any where else on the island its unique
Really enjoyed our meal at the Harbour Kitchen. Mussels were great to start, really enjoyed the salmon for main, especially the pea risotto. The gin lemon posset for dessert was very tasty, loved it alongside the berries on top! Nice atmosphere too, and friendly staff, would recommend. My only minor comment would be that we lacked space for our table of 4 due to small table being pressed up against wall. I understand it’s probably to maximise tables during covid restrictions so wasn’t a big issue, but I’d recommend just moving over slightly, if possible, for some more elbow space while eating.
Had a really lovely meal at the Harbour Kitchen. Fresh mussels, Hake (white fish catch of the day) and chocolate pana cotta. Service was great, polite and not intrusive. The restaurant itself had a modern feel, only disappointment was table size (bit small for 4 people) but can't fault that with current restrictions. Overall highly recommend, beautiful fresh food.
