Nothing special going on here except overpriced food and tables that are dirty and sauce bottles that are clogged up , basically it's a glorified KFC pretending to be gourmet meal offerings which it's not . Angry birds because that's how staff came across
The item I ordered wasn't available the stff suggested a pita but I told him I hate their vege patty. He STILL served me the vege patty. My partners chicken was dry and burnt, the chips were too salty. The service was terrible, no...one asked how our food was. Worst experience ever. Do not dine here.
I visited Nandos today approx. 2:30pm-ish 01/05/2017. I entered the restaurant and saw that it was mostly clean, but quite busy, so the sauces weren 't all lined up nicely on the sauce rack (publicly available), and there was some napkins left on tables (these were...cleaned up quite quickly for the volume of customers coming and going). I was greeted immediately by a young man at the register who was outgoing, and asked for my order straight away. I informed him I wasn 't ready and he replied not a problem, I 'll give you a minute to decide, as he went on with his chores . I made my mind up, looked up from the menu, and he was standing there ready to take my order. He looked attentive and eager to please, it was great to see for a fast food restaurant. He was clean, well manicured, and had a smile on his face, he wore his uniform correctly, and it appeared to be ironed, and looked after (he showed that he took pride in how he presents himself to the customers). I made my order (a classic chicken burger without tomato, large peri chips with plenty of peri salt, and a blue Powerade). I grabbed a medium flavour bottle of sauce and went to sit outside. There were some ibis floating around, and one even flew up onto the table behind me to scab some leftovers that the previous customers had left behind. I shooed them away but they were persistent. Without waiting too long, a young man came out and removed the plates taking away the food from the birds, who no longer hung around (a quickly cleaned table was good to see as it showed they knew about the bird issue and how bad the ibis is for business as they are a pest to customers). I finished my meal which was quite delicious except for the lettuce, which appeared to be baby spinach and not shredded iceberg lettuce like I normally get at other Nandos establishments. All in all it was a good meal, and I was quite pleased with the service and attentiveness of the young man at the front counter. I wouldn 't hesitate to go back.
We visited at 8:50pm today, store closes at 10pm. We were initially told we can’t sit inside as they have “no tables” (all were free), we asked if we could sit at one and he reluctantly agreed. The service from this male was odd, my...husband asked for BBQ chicken and the server said “we don’t have BBQ sauce only basting” which was strange as my husband ordered BBQ and we were clearly reading the menu that had BBQ written on it and we didn’t specify sauce or basting. Then when we sat down the customers after us were told they could only sit outside as they were “closing soon” (1 hour from closing time). When they were understandably a little annoyed they went and sat outside and the staff started complaining about them right in front of us where we could hear them (kept gossiping about every customer from then right in our hearing range). Then every customer after them (9.05pm onward) was told they could only order takeaway as they close soon. They had basically the whole restaurant closed at 9.15pm with still 45 mins of trading time, and every customer who came in was just as confused and frustrated by the service and the fact they were too concentrated in closing as we were. Probably the worst nandos we have ever been to (we visit about once a fortnight to all different nandos). Skip this one and head to a different one for better service and if you do go to this one don’t bother going an hour to finish time or closer as the service will be poor all they want to do is close so they can go home understandably, but with 1 hour to closing time the restaurant should still be operating as normal. It’s not like it was 15 mins to closing time. Incredibly dissapointing nandos experience.
