The servers were extremely friendly and as someone who doesn’t speak German, I appreciated the fact that they have an English menu. If you’re looking to try something new, you can’t go wrong with Ebony!
Warm and inviting restaurant, gracious staff and lovely food! I had the samosas to start with Timtimo as a main course. The wine selection was extensive and so was the menu. Plenty of vegetarian options and a well annotated allergy legend for those looking to avoid certain foods.
Great service delicious food, in a quiet street close to Mitre. Vegetarian friendly (although we had the Probieren Teller)
Is my first time trying African food. I really liked it as I found it similar to Indian food. Try eating with your hand as it is the correct way it is supposed to be consumed. Service was very friendly and they accept card. Deducting two stars as I wish they could better recommend dishes for us to try as the two this we had were basically same, the flavored beers are really artificial tasting (try Savana cider instead), and I believe the cost does not match the restaurant and amount of the food served.
Ebony gave me my first taste of African/Eriterian food thanks to the recommendation of my colleague. first of all I really loved the ambiente, which was little hip and little cozy with many artistic touches. Now when I came to eat, I was really taken away from the homely taste of eating. the starter was great and the main dish was even better (also too much quantity) they had even samosa (we also have in india the same.) also, injera, the main part of the plate is very similar to the Indian food dosa. it is as if we share a bond with Africa by food. we're all the same.
