If I had to rate this restaurant purely by its Menu and its quality of food, I would give it 6/5. The prices, however are exorbitant. So I give it a 3/5.
I visited the Pier 51 last weekend and had a beautiful T-Bone Steak wit almost 900g for myself. I didn’t need much sides to the Steak since it was a lot but I decided to go for a small portion of grilled vegetables. The meat...was delicious and the vegetables had a great flavour. The hole evening I was served by Selina and she always payed attention, if I needed something she was there for me. Thanks for that! All together I had a beautiful evening and I recommend everybody to go there if you haven’t been already!
We had our Sunday brunch here. With 35€ p.p., it doesn't exactly come as free. Drinks are, however, included. The standards, that is. No latte macchiato or any fancy stuff. Most of the food was really great. Breakfast as well as lunch. But a couple of things were...not prefect. For 35€, I'd expect there to be some seriously nice bread for breakfast, but it seemed looked tasted like oven baked supermarket bread : the fruit in the fruit salad had typical thawing as if it was frozen fruit as well
We were in Pier 51 last night for my birthday meal. We had the crusted salmon and lobster, with grilled veggies, spinach and potato gratin. The food was fast, hot and very delicious. Our waitresses were friendly, professional and helpful. The music was great and...not too loud. It was rather warm inside but nothing rolled up shirt arms couldn't fix. Decoration and design is great. The prices are comparatively high for main courses but we're prepared to pay for quality, service and a great experience. Particularly in Germany, where in most cases the customer most definitely does not come first. Rauschenberger (is there anything in Stuttgart they don't own? should be proud of this place and should try very hard to not change the formula.
